Let Woven Chords take you on a musical journey across the globe. Travel through the world’s singing traditions with Stamford’s very own world music choir.

Thrill to rhythmic songs from Africa and uplifting gospel from the US. Sink into sumptuous harmonies from Eastern Europe and the sweet exotic sounds of the Pacific. Hear traditional songs from all parts of Britain, Europe and beyond. Thrill to vocal harmonies from all four corners of the world.

Woven Chords was formed in Stamford 15 years ago, and have been led by musical director Chris Rowbury since 2000. From their love of harmony singing and desire to explore different singing styles and genres, Woven Chords have built up a repertoire of more than 200 songs from a wide range of cultures and traditions. Singing in unaccompanied harmony, and always in the original language, Woven Chords’ joyful performances swell the spirit and touch the soul. Ranging across an eclectic mix of moods and styles, this promises to be a concert to remember with something for everyone – maybe even some audience participation! Woven Chords’ concerts are characterised by their energy and enthusiasm and a wonderfully haunting blend of harmonies creating a real tingle factor. You can learn more about the choir and hear some sound clips on their website: www.wovenchords.com
