If ever there was a time to feel both patriotic and nostalgic then surly 2012 is that time. With both Her Majesty the Queens diamond jubilee celebrations, and the London Olympic Games, sales of union jacks, and national pride, will no doubt be at a record high.
So if you remember the Queen’s coronation in 1953, with its street parties, and post war pride, or the 1966 world cup final, as some of England’s finest hours, then you will love the touring stage production of There’ll Always Be An England which will be appearing at :-
You are invited to step back in time for this afternoon filled with magical musical memories from the Fabulous 40’s with the likes of Vera Lynn and Flanagan & Allen, into the 50’s and the Golden Days of Rock & Roll, with Cliff Richard, and Marty Wilde. Then come swinging through the 60’s with The Beatles, Dusty, Lulu, and many more.
From a Pearly King & Queen Cockney Sing-a-long, to all time favourite show tunes, a rousing flag waving slice of Last Night At The Proms and a very special tribute to the veterans of the armed forces.
The show is produced by former television wrestling star Neil Sands, remembered for his many appearances of world of sport in the 1970’s. He has been producing shows for many years, specializing in matinee nostalgia shows. Neil said “The joy of touring with matinee nostalgia shows is that so many older people don’t feel comfortable coming out in the evenings anymore, so with our shows they can come out in the afternoon and see a show filled with brilliant singers, stunning costumes and good old fashioned fun, that will take them on a wonderful journey back down memory lane to a time most of us remember with fondness”. Neil is joined by two stunning female singers Gemma Turner, and Carolyn Hodgson who have both graced the west end stage on many occasions.
So if you are proud to be British come and enjoy a trip back to a time when Britannia did rule the waves and Blue Birds did fly over the White Cliffs of Dover.
